Day 13

Image
My problem last class is no longer a problem. I decided to change the saturation of the Images by going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and putting it to where no colour would show. A new problem has sown and that is my image result so far isn't as sharp as what the tutorial is The lines should be very tight together but for some reason ive got a blurry effect happening. I've found something that i might end up using, one of the layers, if you dont put all the effect it asks for ends up looking really nice: If the final result doesn't look good ill come back to this step and keep it like this because is does look much better than how its supposed to in my opinion

Day 12 - Next project

Image
I've started working on my next project, making photos look like sketch art and so far it looks good but I've run into a problem. (Here's the Like for the tutorial  https://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/sketch-photoshop-effect--cms-27461?_ga=2.211795029.1177902978.1569531251-1148022752.1569273012 ) The problem being that I need to Desaturate my image but like last project it still doesn't work  This is what it looks like so far, I'll see what I can do next class, if there's any workarounds to it

Day 11 Finished Product

Image
I have Finished the tattoo tutorial and I'm pretty proud of the final result, its not as good as the final product shown in the video but its still good I added bands around the top and bottom of the text, I felt it needed just a little extra, and i was happy to find out all i needed to do was add the shapes on a layer under the text and they had all the effects applied to them already. I found a new video on making pictures look like a sketch drawing that i will share tomorrow and possibly start working on

Day 10

Image
I made a small amount of progress today as i had some troubles with adding filters to some of my layers. One step asks for a desaturation which will end up making it black and white but it wasnt allowing me to so i simply made it black and white via the Image tab The next and final steps involves making it look faded and changing the colour to give it more of a tattoo look. if it looks good i want to add more tattoos to this one

Day 9 - New project

Image
I've started working on my new Photoshop project with the Tattoo tutorial put in the last post. so far I've gotten the text down and just beginning to make the text look like an actual tattoo I'll be adding more tattoo's as I go, based on how this one ends up looking by the end of the process

Day - 8 Change of pace

I've decided to change what I'm doing to Advanced Photoshop techniques, It was what really intrigued me last year and I simply lost interest in The painting, i was actually getting slightly frustrated with what i was working on before I found a great tutorial for adding tattoos to skin and I'm actually pretty interested in it, the link to it is here: https://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/use-a-tattoo-font-to-add-a-realistic-tattoo-to-a-photo-in-photoshop--cms-33434 I can tell that I'm much more capable of doing this, and it's much more exciting to do this over my last choice, I'm actually going to have some fun with this one

Day 7

Image
Today I was just making tiny little edits to the background mountains and trying to start on the foreground trees to the right.  Nothing special, i didn't get as much as i wanted to get done today but that's apart of trying something new, eventually I'll speed up my processes, and move on from the landscapes and into more of the themes, I've had the horror one in mind for a while, so maybe that's next

Day 6 - New Project

Image
Today I finished my first project, which i am not proud of entirely, but thanks to a video i found, i really improved in terms of painting as you can see the first picture is the first project, the second being my new, much more improved new project, thanks to this video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq5MZpeL8gQ&t=66s  Its a very helpful video just to watch. i wont copy the whole thing by any means, but just to start and get a feel

Day 5 - small amounts of progress

Image
This class I started with watching with quickly looking up some tutorials and trying to get the one piece that I've started I'm not very happy with this at all and my plan is to get this done as quickly as possible, then watch some videos and actually learn something. I will include the videos in tomorrows post as i haven't watched all the videos all the way through.

Day 4 - Trying to make progress

Image
Today I didn't do that much at all, no where near what I was hoping for. It's really me just being unsure of what I'm doing, But Its something I want to learn so im gonna try to get over that feeling and push through I will probably spend the next class looking at tutorials trying to get better because i truly feel i need it. I understand I won't get this down in one day, and i might have to take multiple breaks from working to learn things

Day 3 - Starting a Project

Image
Today i decided to mess around with brushes and actually started a project, its a very simple landscape, not much to it but i didn't really want a complex first project, i want to make each one progressively more difficult with new techniques very simple, line work still visible there. Like I said i haven't really painted in Photoshop so this is the real test of my skill to see where i need to improve and whatnot. Id like to finish a majority of the colouring tomorrow and see where i get.

Day 2 - Tutorials

Today i didn't do all that much due to the fact that i didnt have internet for a portion of class. i ended up watching some painting tutorials for Photoshop and i learned that i should download some brushes to use for a more organic look for whatever i end up painting Ive only "painted" in photoshop once with a previous project, so im gonna force myself to learn quick and do a good job. hopefully tomorrow will be more productive for me

Day 1 - Relearning Photoshop

Image
Today was my first day using Photoshop since the last school year, and I learned that I am very rusty. I decided to mess around and simply open up a new project, and started placing random things on the canvas     This was my very messy first creation that i made, like I said I don't remember a lot of the things that a learnt last year which is unfortunate because I was even impressing myself with what i was capable of. I simply retaught myself some shortcuts, Move tool being ctrl-v, or free transform being ctrl-T. i used the shape tools and text tools. I decided to make a first "Project" by making a list of things that i could create, also to get use to Photoshop again This is what i came up with, very simple but like i said i need some practice. I also used the website Pexels to get my background, it provides high quality pictures with free downloads, super useful. I plan on watching some tutorials on maybe, a smoke effect, I'm thinking of doing
